Game Update!
So I’ve been spending alot of time hacking away at the game engine to provide more flexibility in the game mechanics, thus not alot of new improvements. However, after contemplating a bit about the name of the game, we’ve decided to change its name from Psychedelic Kiwi to Psychedelic Farmer, since, well, it’s more clear about what the game is about and also kiwis play only a small role in the game.
With that in mind, dude-cadet Lee was also able to make a spankin’ new title screen to accommodate our new name:

Also, I was finally able to get the alpha channels to behave in SDL, and now scenes will be colored with nice ambient shadows and highlights. The screenshot below shows some of the shadow effects on the wooden tiles of the dojo:

And finally, we’ve been working on the tilesheets to give more life to the once bland and empty rooms of yesterday. Observe the delicious Pink Floyd DSOTM poster right up on the wall:
